Join Chabad of Hall County for a meaningful and memorable Rosh Hashanah experience. Whether you have young children, can't make it to morning services, or are just looking for a powerful way to celebrate, this event is perfect for you.
We invite you to connect with centuries of tradition in the beautiful and serene setting of Longwood Park. The lakeside location offers a tranquil backdrop for an uplifting community gathering.
What to Expect
Shofar Blowing: The central mitzvah of Rosh Hashanah is to hear the ancient and soulful sound of the shofar. As we stand by the water's edge, its call is a spiritual wake-up call, a moment of reflection, and a call to renewal. This is a powerful, 15-minute service that is great for all ages.
Tashlich: Following the shofar, we'll perform the prayer of Tashlich. This beautiful ritual, traditionally done near a body of water, is a moment to symbolically "cast away" past mistakes and shortcomings and commit to a fresh start. The quiet, reflective atmosphere by the lake provides the perfect setting for this meaningful tradition.
